| The objectives of the Student’s Union are to promote and coordinate social and cultural activities of students, and to create in them an awareness of civil duties and rights. |
| Vice-Chancellor shall be the Patron of the Union . The Dean of Students’ Welfare shall be the treasurer. All other office-bearers such as Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary are elected from the General Council, a body of the councilors elected by students from the colleges affiliated to the University. Each district that comes under the University’s jurisdiction shall be represented by a member in the Executive Committee. The tenure of the elected member is one year. |
| The Union’s activities mainly include organizing arts festivals, workshops on various subjects related to students’ awareness. |
